Special Event for Operation Family Caregiver

Please join Southern Caregiver Resource Center at a special event benefiting military families throughout Southern California on November 6, 2013.

Southern Caregiver Resource Center started a new program called Operation Family Caregiver (formerly known as the Wounded Warrior Family Caregiver Outreach Program).  The program helps family caregivers of Veterans from the war in Iraq and Afghanistan who return home with traumatic brain injury (TBI) coupled with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

In support of the program, we are hosting a very special event on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 4:30pm – 7pm at the Veterans Museum & Memorial Center in Balboa Park.  The event will bring together a number of high ranking military officers and personnel, elected officials, community leaders and media.  We will have a special video presentation from Congresswoman Susan Davis, and Jennifer Town, Director of the C5 Unit at the Naval Medical Center, will be one of our guest speakers.  There will also be a presentation from a young military family that will speak about the war, their experience with TBI/PTSD and the impact on the family.

Tickets are $25 per person and include live entertainment and hors d’ oeurves.
