Seniors First San Diego is a countywide coalition of individuals, organizations and seniors joining together to be the voice on aging issues. Seniors First aims to combat ageism, show truer depictions of aging and to improve the capacity of local organizations and individuals to advocate on key legislative aging issues. With funding from the Leichtag Foundation, Elder Law & Advocacy provides Seniors First with expert legal support to help implement this comprehensive program of engaging thought leaders, providing advocacy training, and empowering older citizens to communicate with elected officials on aging issues of importance.

To learn more about becoming an advocate for political change, Seniors First San Diego also offers Senior Advocacy Workshops and Advocacy 101 Workshops to provide people with the knowledge and confidence to become advocates in their communities.  These workshops are held in various parts throughout San Diego County and can be requested by any group, housing association, or civic group anywhere in the county.
